Company honored for its community support and investment in Madison County city, including 4G LTE and the introduction of 1 Gbps Fiber to the Home and 100 times faster Internet access
Madison, Mississippi (January 26, 2017) – C Spire received the 2016 Large Business of the Year award Thursday from the Madison Chamber of Commerce for the Mississippi-based telecom and technology company’s continuing support and investment in the Madison County city.
B.C. Rogers III, co-owner of Persnickety and immediate past chamber president, presented the award to C Spire during the chamber’s annual awards banquet, citing the company’s stellar business practices, community support, employee involvement and technology investment in the community.
Rogers praised C Spire for its support of the chamber, its community involvement, employee volunteerism, continued deployment of maximum range 4G LTE mobile broadband and roll out of ultra-fast 1 Gbps (Gigabit per second) broadband Internet technology in several Mississippi cities, including Madison.
“As a growing, progressive community, we appreciate C Spire’s support, involvement and their multi-million dollar investment in advanced technology for our city,” Rogers said. “Technology infrastructure enhances education and small business creation, attracts new investment while boosting home values and our quality of life.”
Rogers and local government and business leaders also cited the company’s philanthropic and charitable efforts in the city, including a scholarship program for the chamber’s Junior Ambassadors that has awarded over $15,000 to qualifying high school students since 2010, and music concerts featuring top-caliber, world-class entertainers.
